Hunt Mule Deer in the Canadian Rockies

One of the most enjoyable hunts in this area is mule deer. While they don’t have tines as long as in the southern United States, our deer have heavy, dark coloured antlers that look exceptionally good. Mule deer can also be hunted in combination with almost any other species with a good chance of success.

For a beautiful experience, hunt the early season mule deer while they’re still in the alpine summer feeding grounds. Although it can be cold, you can also hunt them a little later at a lower elevation when the rut is on.
